The Happy Apple | Behind the Produce

Before most people were awake, this story was already unfolding.

Starting in Melbourne’s wholesale markets before sunrise, I documented the journey of fresh produce from market floor to store shelf. From GiGi carefully selecting the best seasonal produce to the people unloading trucks, preparing displays and packing home deliveries, every image focused on the people behind the produce.

Surrounded by the smell of artisan bread, flowers and fresh provisions, this project captured the care, hard work and relationships that make The Happy Apple more than just a local grocer. The early starts and long days were all part of telling an authentic story about quality, community and the people who make it happen every day.
